Boutique Hotel - Dubrovnik Old Town

This Baroque noble house in Dubrovnik’s Old Town required a comprehensive process of restoration and adaptation to serve its new function - accommodation for contemporary tourism.
The Dubrovnik Conservation Department recognized the ceilings as elements of exceptional historical value, leading to the decision to preserve the original proportions of the rooms. To protect the full spatial expression of the ceilings, no internal subdivisions were introduced.
As a result, the necessary utilitarian function of the bathrooms was resolved by inserting a transparent glass enclosure - a subtle, cube-like intervention resembling a soap bubble. This light, self-contained volume sits within the room as a respectful contemporary layer, allowing the historical fabric to remain visually and spatially uninterrupted.
Designing accommodation in the tourism sector is particularly rewarding, as it provides measurable feedback through bookings, achieved prices, and user reviews: 7OKAS NOBLE HOUSE in Dubrovnik is rated 9.6 on Booking.com
“The space felt like an interior design dream - chic, practical, and memorable. The building and room were simply stunning - clever layout and modern touches everywhere.”

All the paintings in the 7 Oaks Boutique Hotel are original works by Edo Murtić - because we truly believe that supporting culture and the arts is one of the most meaningful ways we can contribute to our society.
"When I look back at Croatian history, I see many examples of individuals who invested significant resources into the development of culture - true philanthropists whose contributions left a lasting impact. Sadly, those examples are becoming rarer today. For me, it’s not just about material wealth, but how that wealth reflects our values. I often find myself in beautifully designed homes, where there might be a luxury car in the garage, yet on the wall hangs a generic, mass-produced Ikea picture - something that simply doesn't resonate with the identity of the space or the people living in it." - Jelena Tamindžija Donnart, art historian and curator
Art brings depth, character, and meaning to our lives. It’s not about prestige - it’s about connection, emotion, and supporting the creative voices that shape our cultural identity. That’s something we care about deeply, and something we hope to continue fostering in both our work and everyday life.
